Coen Brothers Team Up Matt Damon George Clooney Suburbicon

A Film Written By The Coen Brothers, Directed By George Clooney, & Starring Matt Damon? Well Alright!

It has been a known fact. If the Coen Brothers are involved in a project, that project will entertain with ease. Surburbicon is an interesting collaboration for the sibling duo. They wrote the film and George Clooney is directing it. Additionally, Coen Brother alums like Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, and Oscar Isaac star in the film. This lineup and the trailer definitely has my attention.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

Suburbicon is a peaceful, idyllic suburban community with affordable homes and manicured lawns…the perfect place to raise a family, and in the summer of 1959, the Lodge family is doing just that. But the tranquil surface masks a disturbing reality, as husband and father Gardner Lodge (Matt Damon) must navigate the town’s dark underbelly of betrayal, deceit, and violence. This is a tale of very flawed people making very bad choices. This is Suburbicon.

Now check out the trailer for Suburbicon:

Matt Damon is mad. Like… really mad. You can definitely feel the Coen Brothers seeping through the cracks of this storyline. Hopefully, Clooney can do a good job of emulating their directing style. He should have some experience with it.

From director George Clooney, Suburbicon hits theaters on October 27, 2017. The film stars Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, Oscar Isaac, Noah Jupe, Glenn Fleshler, Megan Ferguson, Gary Basaraba, and Jack Conley.
