The Creator Of The Simpsons & Futurama Brings Fans Another Animated Comedy To Netflix
The King of Animated Comedy’s, Matt Groening, is working on a new project. This time for Netflix. According to Variety, Groening’s Disenchantment was just ordered to series for a 20-episode first season. So what is this show about?
Here’s how Variety describes it:
“An adult fantasy about a crumbling medieval kingdom known as Dreamland. The central character is a hard-drinking princess Bean, her elf companion Elfo and her “personal demon” Luci. The first 10 episodes are targeted to premiere next year.”
So Groening has tackled the American Family Life and our world’s future, now he’s diving into fantasy. Interesting…
Here’s what Groening had to say about the new series:
“Disenchantment will be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite what the elders and wizards and other jerks tell you.”
While I haven’t watched Homer and Bart get into trouble for a number of years now, this show’s premise has my attention. I’m a sucker for fantasy.
So get ready for an animated fantasy comedy from the creator of The Simpsons and Futurama. The first season is scheduled to hit Netflix in 2018.
