Over the past two seasons, the Chiefs have been relying on Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West to lead the backfield.  Charles has only played in 8 games in those two seasons after suffering knee injuries and yet the Chiefs have been successful without Charles on the field making this situation unsurprising. The Minnesota Vikings have announced that they will be ending their ten year relationship with former MVP Running Back Adrian Peterson.  The Vikings will be saving $18 million in salary cap space by not picking up the 2017 option in Peterson’s contract.  When the new NFL league year begins on March 9, he will be an unrestricted free agent.
