Add Another One to the DC Extended Universe, Barbara Gordon Gets Her Own Film…   The auburn-haired, purple-caped heroine, Batgirl, is getting her own movie!  Variety reports that Joss Whedon is in final talks with Warner Bros. to write, direct, and produce a standalone film, featuring Barbara Gordon as the star.  Furthermore, other characters from Gotham City are likely to show up. It’s not a big delay but Warner Bros. needs to get things under control…   Another day, another DC Extended Universe news break.  First The Batman and now Aquaman. Day After ‘The Batman’ Star Ben Affleck Exits Rehab, The Script Enters Rehab   Yesterday, Ben Affleck announced on Facebook that he had just exited rehab after a successful treatment for alcohol addiction.  Sources told E! News that he was, “moving in a healthy, balanced direction.”  Fans hoped that meant he was ready to don the cape and cowl and get back to being The Batman. Looks Like The Studio Wants The Kick-Ass and Kingsman Director For The Next Superman…   Sources from Warner Bros. Studios told Collider today that they are hoping to sign-on Matthew Vaughn to direct the next Man of Steel film.  Obviously, this wouldn’t be Matthew Vaughn’s first trip into the comic book realm.  He has directed Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class, and Kingsman: The Secret Service, making his comic book movie resume pretty beefy.
